Why TLA?

TLA understands that most organizations cannot afford the $100,000 to $1 M to purchase a learning environment. Furthermore, no one wants to be locked into a provider's proprietary system when it is likely that some of these companies will fail as consolidation is affecting the industry. Therefore, by starting with a free, open source system and adding only those optional plug-in components you need, a full-featured e-learning system can be built for about one-tenth of the cost of a COTS learning system.
